| The State University of New York at Buffalo Presents an
Interdisciplinary Graduate Student Conference on: Structures of Consciousness. The study of consciousness, particularly in the wake of recent advances in cognitive science, has become an extremely broad and interdisciplinary field of investigation. It is our hope that we can bring together graduate students from many of the major cognitive disciplines in order to discuss current methodologies, problems and possible solutions which have been encountered in their research. Examples of the cognitive disciplines referred to include, but are certainly not limited to: Philosophy, Psychology, Neuroscience, Anthropology, Computer Science, Biology and Linguistics. This conference will be held in conjunction with a larger faculty conference entitled The Metaphysics of Consciousness (Nov. 5-6, 1999). All those attending the graduate conference are encouraged to attend the following two-day venue which will feature many prominent thinkers involved in cognitive science. Graduate Conference |
