The inaugural meeting of the South Central Seminar in the History of Early Modern Philosophy will be held Friday-Saturday, November 19-20, 1999 at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Like similar seminars in other parts of the country, the South Central Seminar is an informal group designed to foster
interaction among scholars working on topics in the history of early modern philosophy.

Submissions are invited on any topic or interpretive strategy in early modern philosophy and should be in the form of an abstract of 2-3 pages. Completed papers should be no more than 20 pages, for a reading time of 40 minutes or less. The deadline for submissions is September 6, 1999. Submissions by email are strongly encouraged.  Details about the November program will be available by mid-September.

Presentation of papers will occur on Friday, Nov. 19 (3 - 6 p.m.) and Saturday, Nov. 20 (9:30 - 5:30) in Bolton Hall, location of the Texas A&M University Philosophy Department.  Accommodations will be available on campus at the MSC Hotel ($45 - $65/night) for Friday and Saturday nights.
