| Announcing the coming into being of a new journal
in philosophy, entitled ESSAYS IN PHILOSOPHY: A BIANNUAL JOURNAL. This publication
is unique in that all issues will be entirely online, published by the Department of
Philosophy here at Humboldt State University. Modeled after The Monist, each issue of the journal will be devoted to a specific topic. The first issue will be on ANCIENT NATURAL PHILOSOPHY and will be published in January 2000. The first Issue Editor will be Professor David Guetter of Saint Mary's University. Future topics include "Wittgenstein and Ordinary Language", "The Internalism/Externalism Debate in Epistemology" and "Environmental Aesthetics". Each issue will have a "guest editor" and all reviewing will be blind. Further, all correspondence will be handled via eMail. The official webpage for the journal has not been made public as yet, but I hope you will visit the "working site" and take a look at the policies of the journal, submission guidelines, "future topics" page, and the membership of the Board of Advisors. The web address for this page is: www.humboldt.edu/~mfg1/opening.html. |
